kAnSaS ciTy....

Spent a few days in Kansas City a couple weeks ago here are a few shots I took while we were driving around down town.

hOt, hOt, hOt......

The sun has not been my friend!!!!!!

It has been so hot this week!!!!!!

{I know you Texas girls are probably laughing at me....I know it gets very hot down there....but non~ the~ less.....I am roasting!!!!!}

And my pastey white skin turns red VERY fast when I go out!!!!!

Poor kids are playing baseball and softball in the 100+ degrees!!!!!!!

And the poor hubby has been working outside alot........

Lots of water and gatorade for us!!!!!!

Well off to a slow start this week.......but hoping for some cooler weather!!!!!

Have you ever done the fry and egg on the sidewalk experiment????

We may have to try that one if it stays this hot!!!!!!

Look what the UPS man brought me today...........

Ha.....I know you all don't think my little bulldogs are as cute as I do.....and that's OK!!!!!

So I really think my junk yard bag is a.D.o.R.a.b.L.e.

cHuNkY mOnKeY......

Just looking through my pictures trying to get caught up on some stuff.

So today I will take the easy way out!!!!!!

We got a new dog.......well she is old but new to us!!!!

To make a long story short we will just call her a rescue dog.

The ad we checked on.....the people were trying to sell her.....but they liked us so much they gave her to us......FREE!!!!!!!

Not sure if they liked us so much or if we just had SUCKER stamped on our foreheads?!!?!?!?

Anyway.....if you know us at all we were not going to turn this cute little bulldog away!!!!

So maybe we need to start a bulldog ranch....at our house!?!?!?!?!?

So the picture above is her sleeping with her head resting on a rope toy.....very comfy I am sure!!!

So when I was talking to the previous owner she told me her name was Chuk......I thought that was a little weird......so when we went to pick her up I thought they called her Chunk...so I thought to myself she must have forgot to type the {n}......so I call her chunky monkey the kids call her Chuk.

But it really does not matter what you call her because I don't think she hears very well.

Or sees the best for that matter!!!!!!

But you gotta love her!!!!!!!

She is the best dog we have......{and we have 3 now ya know!!!}

Sleeps, Eats......and plays just a little!!!!!!

OK......first things first I have to apologize to Delaney and all of you for taking FOREVER to get this posted!!!!!!!

Delaney ran at state on Saturday, May 23rd in the mile.

She ran a 5:16.48

Not her best time of the year but she ran a very good race and gave 100%.

She even was in first for a lap and a half!!!!!! {woo~hoo Laney}

So congrats to Laney for an AWESOME year and a great day at state track!!!!!

OH.......you may also want to know that she got 14th out of 24 girls!!!!!!
