Just letting you know we have been doing ALOT of [this]

and ALOT of [that] the last few months....and loving every minute of it!!!!!!

The girls start regional play in a few weeks and have a really[did i say really...that is an understatement]tough bracket this year. I will let you know how the season is going later!!!!

Kale has had a really good season so far...not sure when his districts start. Once again...later on that too!!!

Good luck to them all and we are very proud!!!!!

Wow......what a busy week we had last week!!!!!!!

cRoSs cOuNtRy 2009......

The girls ran their 1st cross country meet for this year last nite.

We took the camera but the battery was dead so I will post a pictureless post.......

{not a fan of no pictures!!!!!}

So anywhooooo..........

Delaney got 1st place with a time of 15 minutes and 35 seconds!!!!!!

And Taylor got 11th place with her time 17 minutes and .06 seconds!!!!

As a team they got 3rd place.

Yippppeeeee........AWESOME job ladies!!!!!!!

We are soooooooo proud of both of you!!!!!!!

fOoTbaLL fRiDaY NiTe.........

Football Friday nite.......last Friday nite we had our scrimmage/fundraiser to kick off the football, volleyball, and cross country season. Our sports booster club has a meal/membership drive after the volleyball scrimmage...we sell t-shirts and have an auction.....we auction off all of the football, volleyball, and our 2 cross country runners.....the highest bidder gets to have that athlete do chores for them for 4 hours......it's fun!!!!!!! After everything was done we made over $5,000.00!!!!!!!!! We were very happy!!!!!!

Last nite was our first game of the season.......it was a really good game but we came up a little short.......so looks like we will have to get past that one and get focused for this Friday nite.......GOOD LUCK SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!

fiRsT dAy Of sChOoL......2009-2010

First day of school was yesterday!!!!!!

WOW......I think the summer went by sooooo fast!!!!!!

It's just going to be a weird year.......Taylor is a SENIOR!!!!!! {{oh no!!!!!}}

Delaney is a sophomore {{already?!!?!?}} and Kale is in 7th grade {{yikes!!!}}

So now I hope you see why I say weird.......senior, sophomore, and 7th grade!!!!!!!

They have all grown up so fast..[[how did that happen]] they were all just little kids last time I looked!!!!!!

School registration is TODAY!!!!!!!

In a couple of weeks the kiddos will be back to school.......

I say oh no because......Taylor will be a SENIOR {oh my goodness say it isn't so}

Delaney will be a Sophomore {already!?!?}

And Kale......will be in Junior High {wow}

Friday we did bike nite as I have already posted about.

Taylor was on day 2 of dance camp on Friday.

Saturday was Taylor's last day at camp and she said......WOW!!!!!!

I went to the Farmer's Market in Des Moines with my girlfriends from high school......good food and great fun!!!!!!!

And Troy and Kale went to Bluff Creek to ride dirt bikes......I sent the camera with them so that is the only pictures I have to share from the entire busy weekend!!!!!!!

And Sunday Delaney had an all day basketball camp at Graceland University.

Just want to say thanks to all of you who stopped by to wish the girls good luck at the regional track meet!!!!!

I will get right to the point here......

Taylor got 2nd in the 2 mile.......GREAT job Taylor!!!!!

But did not make it to the state track meet. {there is always next year}

Delaney got 1st in the mile!!!!!!!!

Soooooo she will be making a trip to the state track meet!!!!!!

BBBRRRrrrrrrrr........it's cold outside and we are getting ready to go watch the girls run at their REGIONAL track meet.

Regionals qualify you to go to the state track meet.

The winner out of every regional goes to state and then the next 12 fastest times in the state get to go too.

They were suppose to run yesterday but it got postponed because of rain.

It's not raining today but it is only in the 40's right now....with a high of 61 and very windy!!!!!

Delaney is running in the mile {1500m} and she he the 8th best time in the STATE in our class {1A} and she will be running an 800 in a relay.

Taylor will be running in the 2 mile{3000m}, the mile {1500m}.

She is really going to have to run her little behind off today......but I know she can do it!!!!!

Soooooooo GOOD LUCK today!!!!!!!!!

On Tuesday nite we had our Melcher-Dallas Invitational track meet.

And Delaney set a meet record in the 1500 meter run(almost a mile).

With a time of 5:27.20

THEN..........

Last nite at the girls' track meet Delaney broke the school record in the mile.

(1500 meter run)

And guess whose record she broke!??!?!?!?!

If you guessed TAYLOR.......you are right!!!!!!

Taylor had the mile record with a time of 5:23.02

And Delaney broke it with a 5:21.97

WOW.....look how much time she knocked of from Tuesday to Thursday!!!!!!

AWESOME job ladies!!!!!!

We are soooo proud of both of you for your accomplishments in track!!!!!!

{and everything you do for that matter!!!}

DeCoRaTiNg tHe TrEe......

Saturday was a long day....that was the day I felt the very worst!!!!! It started snowing.....that made me happy!!!!! And it was beginning to look alot like Christmas so we got the tree out and we decorated the tree!!!!! How fun.....my kids always look at me like I have lost my mind....I love decorating the tree!!!! So when you see the pictures of our tree you have to know that the tree was on clearance last year at Wal-Mart and ALL of the decorations are from the Dollar Tree or from Wal-Mart.......cheap!!!!!! But we think it looks pretty good for a cheap tree!!!!!! And like every other event at our house Troy and Kale have to pick at each other the entire time.....and this time was not any different!!!!!! As you will see in some of the pictures!!!!!!Troy,Delaney, and Taylor decorating the tree......I think Kale was already mad about something at this point!!!!! And we just got started!!!!!

And I do apologize for this picture......but it does put a whole new meaning of Christmas tree skirt!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!!!

ThAt'S a Rap.....

Ok....it's been awhile.....so I have some catching up to do!!!! So i am going to do a quick version of most of it because basketball games start this week and i know i will get behind real quick if i try to make more than one post out of all of this!!!! So i will start with last Thursday.....the girls had their Cross Country banquet....it was very laid back....i liked that....pot luck....EASY!!!! Again...i like that too!!! But getting to the point here....they both lettered, they both made the all conference team and Taylor was voted(by her team mates) the most valuable runner and got a plaque and everything!!!!! COOL!!!! They both had a really good year and made some really good friends and that is what we like about them going to a different school to run....that they get to meet new people and get to use that experience later in life!!!!! And Laney even met a boy......but they are just "friends".....so she says!!!!! haha!!!! This the picture of all the people who made the all conference team!!!!! Good job everybody!!!! And we also want to say thanks to coach Miller and the entire team for letting the girls run with you this year and hope to see you next year!!!! And AWESOME job Taylor and Delaney....we are sooooooo proud of both of you!!!!! Then on Friday up to the elementary school we go......the 6th grade class every year makes posters for a contest that the Lions club has....the theme was Peace Begins With Me......it is an International contest and each local group picks 3 posters from our school for a first, second, and third place......each of the three places get a check and a certificate and only the first place poster moves on to a district level to be judged. Kale got third place, his friend Al got second place, and one of the girls get first......they display the posters in the local bank for 2 weeks and the first place poster goes on in the competition......good luck "K"!!!!!
