Tonite was our father/daughter softball game.

At the end of the softball season the dads always play against the girls.

It is always one of my favorite things to go watch!!!!!!

I am not sure how many years in a row the dads have won......and this year was not the year for the girls to claim a victory!!!!!!

The dads won.......but they are getting a little big for their britches......next year could be your year ladies!!!!!!

But with the end of softball and baseball......comes the start of school.

We only have 1 month before school starts.........wow where has the summer gone!?!?!?!?!?!?

Troy has been at his new job for 1 year today!!!!!!!

It has been quite an adjustment for him and LOTS of head aches, late nites, early morning phone calls, and a TON of things to fix!!!!!!!!

But I think you have done an AWESOME job Troy......keep up the great work!!!!!!

Just want to take a minute to tell you all Happy New Year!!!!!!!

2008 has had some ups and downs for all of us but lets all hope that 2009 will be everything that we all want it to be!!!!!! I think I will just post a few pictures of things that went on in our life in 2008....just random pictures no order and I will try to make a little comment on them.

fRiDaY.....

Friday was a big day at our house we had alot going on......varsity basketball, Troy and Kale leaving for the opening day of deer season in Iowa and the guys were going to be gone so I called my friend Steph to see if she wanted to come up and hang out with me and the girls this weekend....and she said.....sure. So the plan was that we all go to the basketball game then Troy and Kale leave after the game to do their guy stuff and us girls were going to hang out all weekend!!!!!!(AWESOME plan!!!) But the plans all changed at about 8:30am!!!!! The school nurse called and said Kale was sick. So off to the school I go to pick him up. As soon as we got home I called Steph to let her know about Kale just in case she did not want to be around the crud!!!! No problem she says....I'll be there!!! Poor Kale.....as the day went by he got a little sicker!!!!(is that a word????) When Troy got home we were talking about Kale and what our plan would be for him to try to go on Saturday....I thought he was sleeping......but from under the blankets I hear a muffled "oh I am going" but we thought it was best he stay home tonite and see how he felt on Saturday....he didn't like it but that was the only plan I gave him!!!!!

So Steph and I stayed home with Kale and did not get to go to the game......and wouldn't you know it.......Taylor was leading scorer with 16 points!!!!!! I was so disappointed I did not get to see it!!!!!! Great job Taylor!!!!!! As for the team.....we lost......by 19 points.......not a good nite!!!!!

DeCoRaTiNg tHe TrEe......

Saturday was a long day....that was the day I felt the very worst!!!!! It started snowing.....that made me happy!!!!! And it was beginning to look alot like Christmas so we got the tree out and we decorated the tree!!!!! How fun.....my kids always look at me like I have lost my mind....I love decorating the tree!!!! So when you see the pictures of our tree you have to know that the tree was on clearance last year at Wal-Mart and ALL of the decorations are from the Dollar Tree or from Wal-Mart.......cheap!!!!!! But we think it looks pretty good for a cheap tree!!!!!! And like every other event at our house Troy and Kale have to pick at each other the entire time.....and this time was not any different!!!!!! As you will see in some of the pictures!!!!!!Troy,Delaney, and Taylor decorating the tree......I think Kale was already mad about something at this point!!!!! And we just got started!!!!!

And I do apologize for this picture......but it does put a whole new meaning of Christmas tree skirt!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!!!!!

How about.........Fort McWood??????? For some reason that cracked Troy up!!!!! From time to time Troy will tell Kale (if they are talking about a name or whatever guys talk about)......"that is what they used to call me back in high school!!!!!" So this time was no different......when Kale told us that he named his "fort"....."Fort McWood".....Troy says......."that's what they used to call me in high school"......my friend Steph was here and I thought she was going to pee her pants laughing at that one!!!!!! But to the rest of us......that is just another day in our crazee life!!!!!!

Oh my gosh......i forgot to put this post one here!!!!!! Last Sunday we went to my sisters house for a liitle get together to have cake for Troy's birthday, play wii and other games for the afternoon!!!!!! i skipped the wii....last time i played i could hardly move my arms for a few days!!!!!! YIKES......i don't think that is a good sign......maybe it's called lack of excersise!!!!!! We took a few pictures to share.A very intense game of wii.......

I am feeling pretty good about this move in the stressful game of jenga.....i was one of the final 3...so i thought i was going to kick some behind.......... But this is what happened when i went to put my piece on top....man that stinks!!!!!! Taylor went out next........so the winner is none other than.......Shaky Mcshakerson!!!!!!! Good job......nobody thought he would make it past the first round!!!!!!

LeT iT sNoW, LeT iT sNoW, LeT iT sNoW

First things first......it snowed today.....now there isn't any on the ground but it did snow!!!! And that counts for something.....I think.....there is still a little on the deck.......I should have taken a picture for proof!!!!!! I love the snow!!!!! With Troy's new job at the school he is not looking forward to snow at all.....getting up at 3am to go drive the roads to see if the roads are safe for the busses to go out on......the kids are looking forward to a few snow days at school from dear old dad...hope that works out for them!!!!! Oh I wanted to put the Christmas tree up today after it started snowing.....but decided maybe I better wait until Thanksgiving is over. What is it....about 6 weeks until Christmas????? Wow now that is exciting!!! Have you all started your shopping????? Or just your lists!?!??! My kids are so sick of me asking if they are going to make a list.....so I am really sorry family....I am trying to get the lists started!!!!

ok....first things first. i have to tell you it is a sad, sad day at our house......for Troy anyway.......at the begining of baseball season he kept telling me this is the year, this is the year.......well his hopes were high.....the Chicago Cubs won......i am not sure what he said but like 97 or 98 games this year, did AWESOME, and were the division champs......and in his eyes and several of my co-workers eyes they were going to go all the way(the world series).....well last nite those hopes and dreams came crashing down!!!!! the L.A. Dodgers beat them again......a 3 game sweep!!!! so we may have to be gentle to Troy for a few days until he gets over the pain!!!!! but there is always next year.....and as we all know that will only be a few months away before we have to start watching spring training again on T.V.!!!!!! so better luck next year to all of you cubs fans!!!!
