Just letting you know we have been doing ALOT of [this]

and ALOT of [that] the last few months....and loving every minute of it!!!!!!

The girls start regional play in a few weeks and have a really[did i say really...that is an understatement]tough bracket this year. I will let you know how the season is going later!!!!

Kale has had a really good season so far...not sure when his districts start. Once again...later on that too!!!

Good luck to them all and we are very proud!!!!!

Last nite was Kale's very first contact football game.

He has only played on flag football teams in the past.

To say he was excited would be an understatement!!!!!!

He did GREAT......everybody on the team played AWESOME!!!!!

They won 30-8!!!!!!!

fiRsT dAy Of sChOoL......2009-2010

First day of school was yesterday!!!!!!

WOW......I think the summer went by sooooo fast!!!!!!

It's just going to be a weird year.......Taylor is a SENIOR!!!!!! {{oh no!!!!!}}

Delaney is a sophomore {{already?!!?!?}} and Kale is in 7th grade {{yikes!!!}}

So now I hope you see why I say weird.......senior, sophomore, and 7th grade!!!!!!!

They have all grown up so fast..[[how did that happen]] they were all just little kids last time I looked!!!!!!

Oh no.......is summer really almost over?!!??!?!?!?!?!

School registration is TODAY!!!!!!!

In a couple of weeks the kiddos will be back to school.......

I say oh no because......Taylor will be a SENIOR {oh my goodness say it isn't so}

Delaney will be a Sophomore {already!?!?}

And Kale......will be in Junior High {wow}

BUSY, BUSY weekend!!!!!!!

Friday we did bike nite as I have already posted about.

Taylor was on day 2 of dance camp on Friday.

Saturday was Taylor's last day at camp and she said......WOW!!!!!!

{very sore muscles!!!!!!!!}

I went to the Farmer's Market in Des Moines with my girlfriends from high school......good food and great fun!!!!!!!

And Troy and Kale went to Bluff Creek to ride dirt bikes......I sent the camera with them so that is the only pictures I have to share from the entire busy weekend!!!!!!!

And Sunday Delaney had an all day basketball camp at Graceland University.

kALe....

Kale came home from wrestling camp today.

He must have been ready to be home......he called me 3 times to make sure I knew what time to be there and to see if I was almost there!!!!!! :0)

We got him and his 2 huge bags of stinky& super smelly wrestling clothes from a weeks worth of wrestling camp!!!!!!!! {Eeeeewwwwww}

We missed him!!!!!!

And I think he missed us too{wink,wink} even though he won't admit to that I am sure!!!!!

We took Kale to wrestling camp yesterday!!!!!!!

It has been a little weird for me.......I really do miss him!!!!!!

Ya know that feeling you get when you think you have had just about enough of them and would just LOVE to have a little vacation from your kids?!!?!?!?!??!

Here is my chance.......Sunday until Thursday he will be gone.........

It's only Monday and I wonder what he is up to and hope that camp is not getting the best of him!!!!!

And most of all......I worry that he is not taking a shower and changing his underwear as often as he should!!!!!!!

Wow......he will be 13 soon.......time flies!!!!!!!!

He told me to just pretend it was like when they will all go off to college.........I am trying but I think sending them all off to colleg is going to be a VERY hard thing to do!!!!!!!!

I better start buying the tissues now........I am going to need it!!!!!

WeEkEnD....

Ok...so here it is Saturday nite and we are at home and in for the nite by 7 p.m.

now that is one exciting life!!!!!!!

No really it is not....but it was an AWESOME day outside today in the 70's....windy but warm!!!

But this is Iowa......stick around that will change!!!!!

It is suppose to get cold and snow late tonite and tomorrow!!!!!!!!

I think I forgot to give you the update about Kale's wrestling last weekend......he lost 2 matches

on Saturday so he did not make it into the top 8 so did not get to wrestle on Sunday.

He was very disappointed.....but as a 12 year old we live in that moment and that was all that was important at that point in his life!!!!!! But nothing a little mac&cheese from Macaroni Grill wouldn't cure!!!! But we were very proud of him......this was his first year of wrestling and he made it to state.....not bad if you ask me!!!!!!

Off to play spring softball in the morning{at 9 a.m.} if it doesn't snow and rain tonite!!!!!

Went to the high school tonite to watch our high school dance teams spring show

as their fundraiser they have a clinic for the elementary kids......those little ones are so darn cute to watch!!!!!!!

Well that is our excitement so far this weekend....hope you all are having a great weekend!!!!!

UGH.....it's Monday, it is dark and raining outside, and I can't get rid of this cold!!!!!!!

But on the brighter side.......

I have to tell you a KALE moment!!!!!!

We let him set up an email account a couple of months ago on Yahoo.....

the one thing I told him was to make sure he checked it once or twice a week.

That being said I had not noticed him check it lately.......

so here is the conversation him and I had about checking his email....

as Troy is there just listening.

ME...."Kale have you checked your email lately?"

KALE....."yes"

ME...."Where have you been checking it?"

KALE....."I check it on YAHOO."

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!

Troy and I lost it........

we could not stop laughing.....I know maybe we are just weird!!!!!

But that was funny!!!!!!

One would assume if you have a yahoo account that is where you check your email.....

I was just wondering if he was checking it at school or at home!?!?!?!?!?!?

So that was just another Kale moment!!!!!!

Ok I am really running behind on blogging so I will keep tonites kind of short!!!!!

But we are very excited to tell you all that on Saturday(14th) we took Kale to his district

wrestling meet in Oskaloosa and he got 2nd place and they take the top 4 in each weight class

in each district.....so he will be going to the AAU state wrestling meet in Des Moines in 2 weeks.

We are sooo proud and he is such a humble little guy.....that really makes winning so nice.

When you can win and not prance around.....not that it does not deserve a little celebrating but

he is very humble!!!!!

AWESOME job Kale we are very proud of you!!!!!!

I will post again later to let you know the plan!!!!!! 

Aaaahhhh....bOyS.....

I have a question for all of you!!!!

What would a person use these 3 items for?

What are they???  Let's see the decoy(duck), flashlight/radio(yellow thing), and a plastic piece from a package of green army men.

And I guess I have 2 questions.

What would a 12 year old boy do with them????

I am not sure what he does with them other than plays some sort of army stuff...(not at all sure about the duck!!!!!)

So to make a long story short when he brought down his basket of dirty clothes.....and no he did not do this with out being told!!!!!!

I found all of these things in with his dirty clothes!!!!

WEIRD??? YES!!!!

So I politely put them back in the basket and set it at the bottom of the stairs for him to take back to his room.

The next day he went to grab the basket....looked in it.......looks at me with a strange look on his face.......AND SAYS........

"why did you put all of this stuff in my basket???"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!

My reply was...."um I did not put them in there you must have when you "cleaned" your room."

He looked at me again and says..."ok".......

AS IF HE KNEW THAT IS WHERE HE PUT HIS STUFF!!!!!!

Oh my goodness!!!!!!

Just want to take a minute to tell you all Happy New Year!!!!!!!

2008 has had some ups and downs for all of us but lets all hope that 2009 will be everything that we all want it to be!!!!!! I think I will just post a few pictures of things that went on in our life in 2008....just random pictures no order and I will try to make a little comment on them.
