we are off to the state wrestling meet with Kale!!!!!!

I need your help!!!!!!

We are on the After~Prom committee this year.....

because we have a junior{Taylor} at the high school.

And the parents{of the junior class} do the decorating for the walk in and put on an 

After~Prom party for the kids who go to prom.

{trying to keep the kids drug free and alcohol free}

The junior class comes up with the theme.....

and we have to go with that!!!!!!

This year they chose........

Willy Wonka........

Sooooooo this is where you all come into play........

we need some creative ideas to decorate for the walk in.....

as inexpensive as possible....

maybe recycling of items!?!?!?!?

We have used toilet paper rolls to make little candies and wrapped them in colorful papers

and bought a bunch of stuff after Christmas in the clearance isle.

But if any of you come up with ANY ideas.....please leave me a comment or send me an email.

UGH.....it's Monday, it is dark and raining outside, and I can't get rid of this cold!!!!!!!

I just want to go back to bed!!!!!!

But on the brighter side.......

I have to tell you a KALE moment!!!!!!

We let him set up an email account a couple of months ago on Yahoo.....

the one thing I told him was to make sure he checked it once or twice a week.

That being said I had not noticed him check it lately.......

so here is the conversation him and I had about checking his email....

as Troy is there just listening.

ME...."Kale have you checked your email lately?"

KALE....."yes"

ME...."Where have you been checking it?"

KALE....."I check it on YAHOO."

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!

Troy and I lost it........

we could not stop laughing.....I know maybe we are just weird!!!!!

But that was funny!!!!!!

One would assume if you have a yahoo account that is where you check your email.....

I was just wondering if he was checking it at school or at home!?!?!?!?!?!?

So that was just another Kale moment!!!!!!

Ok I am really running behind on blogging so I will keep tonites kind of short!!!!!

But we are very excited to tell you all that on Saturday(14th) we took Kale to his district

wrestling meet in Oskaloosa and he got 2nd place and they take the top 4 in each weight class

in each district.....so he will be going to the AAU state wrestling meet in Des Moines in 2 weeks.

We are sooo proud and he is such a humble little guy.....that really makes winning so nice.

When you can win and not prance around.....not that it does not deserve a little celebrating but

he is very humble!!!!!

AWESOME job Kale we are very proud of you!!!!!!

I will post again later to let you know the plan!!!!!! 

TaYLoR....

Today we took Taylor to a college visit.

We went to Ottumwa to visit 

Indian Hills Community College.

She is only a junior this year so we have another year to go......

but we had so much fun taking the tour

Troy and I were ready to sign up!!!!!!

Anyway.....we talked to the cross country coach

and he sounded very excited about having her come to run for him.......

{as we all are}

so we will have to see what he comes up with for $$$$$$

It is just one of those things.......

I was so excited for her while we were there......

then when we get home and I really think about it.......

I am not sure that I am really ready for this big step.........

ya know......her going off to college........

ya know........growing up!!!!!!!

Just what we all think we look forward to......

our kids growing up and going out on their own!!!!!!

But trust me the closer that time comes....

I am not sure I want them to grow up now!!!!!!!

So all of you with little ones at home......

hold on to them while they are little.....

because before you know it this will be you!!!!!!

Just want to say hello for the weekend.....we are super busy this weekend so I may not have time to post!!! We just got home from a wrestling tourney....Kale got 2nd!!!! Great job Kale!!!! Then went out to eat with the wrestling kids and parents.....I love setting around, hanging out with friends, and chatting.....and laughing.....ALOT!!!!!

We will be on the road bright and early in the morning.....more wrestling!!!!!!

And just a quick update from yesterdays AWESOME weather......it was cooler today but still nice.....lots of sunshine!!!!! But it is suppose to be chilly and rain ALL weekend....I told you to stick around......it would change!!!!! Take care and hope you all have a great weekend!!!!!

Oh my gosh.....this is going to be short and sweet today!!!!!

I am having a very hard time staying inside......

the weather man was right.....he said it was going to warm up!!!!!!

Soooooo I sent Troy a text and told him it was so nice out we needed to be riding the bike

But....he had stuff to do so he says there will be more days like this and maybe even nicer......

Taylor's car has a flat tire this morning so I took them to school.

As we were driving to the school we looked down the street and this what we saw......

It looked like it was parked right in front of the school.......

but as we got closer it was in the alley between the school and the grocery store!!!!!

It did look funny though......I am pretty sure that Bud Light and hot wings will not be on the menu today!!!!!!
